Does my machine require activation?

These type of machines require activation:

• machines used for development purposes (debugging, testing, development, compilation). Desktop version of Windows are supported;
• machines running Windows Server for production/testing/staging purposes;

All other type of machines do not require activation

• Windows desktop editions not used for software development purposes
• Windows Server machines when running from CI (Continuous Integration) for automated builds/tests
