ByteScout Barcode Reader SDK for .NET, ASP.NET, ActiveX reads 1D and 2D barcodes from images, TIFF and PDF in your desktop and web applications.


  • Includes assemblies for .NET 2.00, 3.50, 4.00, 4.50 (Visual Studio 2005 to 2013), ASP.NET, WPF;

  • Works from Visual Basic 6, Delphi, Visual C++, classic ASP and other scrips via ActiveX wrapper;

  • Reads linear barcodes: Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Trioptic Code 39, EAN13, EAN8, Interleaved 2 of 5, UPCA, UPCE, GS1-128, GS1 Databar, GS1 Databar Extended, GS1 Databar Expanded, GS1 Databar Omnidirectional, Codabar, Royal Mail, Postnet, MSI, Intelligent Mail, Royal Mail Kix, Australia PostCode, Patch;

  • Reads 2D barcodes: PDF417 (truncated, micro, macro), Datamatrix, QR Code, Aztec, MaxiCode, CodaBlock F, Code 16K;

  • Reads MICR font reading scanned and photcopied bank checks;

  • Reads from bitmaps, PNG, BMP, TIFF and PDF as input (with no additional tools or libraries required for PDF support);

  • Reads from multipage TIFF images;

  • Reads from PDF documents;

  • Barcode reader returns: barcode symbology type, recognized string and barcode location rectangle points;

  • Supports reading of multiple barcodes from one image;

  • Supports ASP.NET in the Medium Trust mode;

Some functions of Barcode Reader SDK are also available as REST-compliant Web API.
